Getting there

The conference takes place in Lisbon, Portugal, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian). The Foundation is located at Av. de Berna 45 A, 1067-001 Lisbon, next to Praça de Espanha.

We recommend all participants to use public transport or taxis to get to the conference site if they are able to do so.

Public transport to the Foundation: 

Metro: S. Sebastião station (blue and red line)

Bus: 716, 718, 726, 742, 746, 756

If you are arriving by car, there are parking lots at Parque Berna (underground) and
Pr. de Espanha (next to the Gôndola restaurant)

Opening times

Open from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Closed on December 24th and 25th, January 1st and May 1st.

The opening times will not affect the schedule of the conference sessions.


Lift , ramps and toilet facilities available for visitors with special needs.

New pathways and access routes are opened up throughout the outdoor area of the Foundation, fully taking into consideration those facing mobility challenges.

The main building has an access ramp and tactile flooring, sign posts are in both the headquarters and throughout the gardens, there’s an exclusive parking for disabled persons. There’s an Access Guide of the Foundation available in a Braille edition.

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation has the Google Indoor Maps that allows a detailed map with useful information.
